Learning in 3D….

on January 22, 2010

“Learning is the key to our future and powerful learning will result from immersive, interactive, and creative 3D designs”.

Tony O’Driscoll and Karl Kapp have a new book entitled “Learning in 3D: Adding a New Dimension to Enterprise Learning and Collaboration

Tony’s O’Driscoll’s website is “Learning Matters” and there is a wiki for this book. He is also involved with Duke’s University Faqua School of Business.

Karl Kapp website is at KarlKapp.com and his blog is at Kapp Notes. He is a professor of Instructional Design at Bloomsburg University.

This video comes from the website eLearning Technology. Yesterday I listened to both authors talk in Second Life. If you are at all interested in Second Life, please look at this book.

  1. Karl Kapp says:

    Linda,

Thanks for attending the Train for Success event. It was a great group of folks interested in 3D virtual immersive environments. Tony and I had a lot of fun! And the comments and insights from the group were educational to me as well. If enough of us “talk it up” we’ll eventually get this stuff mainstream.
